Director of Religious Education (6-9) / Youth Minister @ Resurrection Parish
Administers a parish religious education program (Grades 6-9), youth ministry, and youth service ministry programs, fostering discipleship, leadership development, service, and active participation in parish life.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge:
- Must be a practicing Catholic, a member in good standing of a Catholic parish within the Diocese of Green Bay.
- Working knowledge of theology, education and child development that can be translated into a comprehensive formation program.
- BS/BA in religious Studies or Related Field, or EMMANUS Program completed/in process or BS/BA in field other than Religious Studies plus Religious Education Advanced Certification
- 2 years of religious education experience in a parish.
- 2 years of supervisory experience required.
- Position requires an understanding of catechetical processes as they pertain to youth, young adults, and adults.
- Demonstrated understanding of adolescent faith development, youth ministry principles, volunteer leadership development, and serve learning models.
Skills:
- Must possess strong oral and written communication skills.
- Leadership and administrative skills, decision-making skills, program development skills, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, the internet, and all basic office equipment is required.
- An understanding of physical, emotional, intellectual and faith characteristics of teenage grade students.
- Ability to engage and build relationships with middle /high school youth and their families.
Abilities:
- Must have the ability to plan, organize, and meet deadlines.
- Must be able to communicate effectively with staff, parish and school community as well as establish and maintain effective relationships.
- Must have the ability to implement age-appropriate instructional materials and methods of teaching.
- Must be able to handle multiple projects and priorities as required.
- Must have the ability and desire to work with youth and to promote a visible partnership with their families and the community.
- Ability to create and sustain a welcoming environment where youth encounter Christ, grow in discipleship, and develop a sense of belonging within the parish community.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Support the mission of Resurrection Parish
- Nourishes a personal spiritual life by:
- Developing a personal prayer life to model a Catholic Christian lifestyle for catechists and students.
- Attending yearly retreats and/or days of reflection.
- Employees are expected to attend retreats, seminars, and small group discussions where faith is discussed.
- Administers the religious education program by:
- Visioning and establishing goals, objectives, and strategies.
- Recruiting, hiring, orienting, and releasing catechetical personnel.
- Providing in-services to catechists in theology, scripture, methodology and faith formation.
- Supervising, affirming, and evaluating catechetical personnel.
- Developing and implementing policies and guidelines.
- Plans, develop, promotes, and evaluates quality catechesis formation for, and youth ministry by:
- Identifying program needs.
- Researching, selecting, developing, and evaluating appropriate curricula, faith formation experiences, and discipleship pathways that support spiritual growth of middle/high school youth.
- Ensuring all curriculum and programming align with diocesan standards, parish priorities, and best practices in catechesis and youth ministry.
- Evaluating and procuring necessary resource materials.
- Establishing procedures for effective catechesis based on program policies.
- Overseeing liturgical and service dimensions of the program.
- Designing and implementing a comprehensive youth ministry program for Grades 6-9 that includes faith formation, prayer, discipleship, fellowship, faith nights, retreats, leadership experiences, retreats, and evangelization opportunities.
