Early Childhood Educator

Teachers provide high-quality early learning experiences that support children's physical, social-emotional, cognitive, and developmental growth. Using the High Scope curriculum, educators create a safe, nurturing, inclusive, and engaging environment where children feel a sense of belonging while developing independence and confidence. They partner with families and colleagues while following Encompass policies, Wisconsin DCF licensing requirements, NAEYC standards, and developmentally appropriate practices.

Qualifications

• Ability to actively supervise children and create a safe, nurturing, engaging environment.
• Strong relationship-building, communication, teamwork, and professionalism skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and use classroom technology for communication, documentation, and assessment.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Dependable attendance, punctuality, and flexibility to meet classroom and DCF ratio requirements.
• Ability to meet background check and regulatory requirements.
• Demonstrates Encompass values and commitment to our mission.
• Early Childhood Education coursework or degree, High Scope or play-based experience, CPR/First Aid certification, and licensed child care or school experience.

Must have completed Introduction to the Child Care Profession and Skills and Strategies for the Child Care Teacher or have ECE college credits.
