Position: Plat & Surveyor Coordinator - Sign-on Bonus $3,000
Position Summary

Working in conjunction with the other regional Survey and Plats Coordinator and under the general supervision of the Technical Services Unit Supervisor, the essential functions of this position are to lead other employees and consultants in performing field survey and right of way plat review/coordination activities in support of the regions six-year program.; responsible for researching, assembling, interpreting legal descriptions, and computing project survey coordinates.

Acts as liaison and coordinates right of way and survey activities between programmatic sections; performs as the Region contact person for the general public, local officials, private land surveyors, and consultant engineers. Directs surveys of plats and surplus parcels.

It requires expertise in surveying, land sub-dividing, and using computers in highway plat and survey development. Also required is fundamental knowledge of highway engineering and property acquisition procedures, and the ability to effectively cross communicate between these professions.

Salary Information

The Advanced level is in schedule-range (14-13) with an annual salary of $83,200-$95,680. Plus $2,080 additional for holding a WI Professional Land Surveyor license.

Pay for current state employees will be set in accordance with the Wisconsin State Compensation Plan.

A $3,000 sign-on bonus applies to those who do not have any prior permanent full-time state service in the last five years and agree to remain in the position for one year. The $3,000 will be paid on the first paycheck.

Job Details

Travel may be required up to 25% of the time.
