* Job Description:

** The Manufacturing Engineering Technician may plan, research, develop, and perform manufacturing engineering assignments including, process planning, creating and updating standards, and methods improvement.

* ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

*** Contribute to facility transformation, technology transfer and ongoing maintenance of mixed model manufacturing and/or value streams.
* Ensure ongoing success of process improvement initiatives by implementing policies, procedures, and process documentation.
* Implement demand driven principles and strategies that support operational excellence and long-range plans. (Flexibility, Speed & Responsiveness)
* Develop, evaluate, and improve manufacturing methods, using knowledge of product design, materials and parts, fabrication processes, tooling and production equipment capabilities, assembly methods, and quality control standards.
* Estimate production times and related costs to provide information for costing of new products and special projects.
* Use continuous improvement tools to implement process improvements that will reduce cycle time, process variation, defects, changeover time, and lead times.
* Participate in area layouts, process definition, and fixture implementation.
* Act as an advocate between Design Engineering and Operations.
* Act as an Infor XA Super User within functional area as assigned.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

*** Associate degree in a technical discipline is preferred or 3-5 years related technical experience.
* Experience using Infor XA or equivalent ERP system.
** KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:
*** Proficiency in CAD (AutoCAD, Solid Works).
* Knowledge of lean principles and process improvements.
* Proficient in Microsoft Office.
