Application Engineer - Tissue

The Application Engineer will visit customers and create quotations for Toscotec Tissue Machines and auxiliary equipment in the US and Canada. Toscotec is a leading manufacturer of equipment related to the manufacturing of Tissue, Paper, and Board, across the world. This is a hybrid work position, working from the office in Green Bay, WI, remotely, and/or traveling to customer sites. Travel expectations range from 40 to 60 percent dependent upon customer demand.

During the first 6-12 Months of employment the employee will spend extended periods of time in Lucca, Italy for training purposes.

• Create Quotes for new and existing customers in the Tissue Industry including paper making equipment such as, stock preparation, tissue machines, steam/ condensate system, pneumatics, hydraulics, reel sections, and re-winders.
• Visit customers as requested and perform introductions of the company or technologies
• Support on site measure-ups for detailed quote preparation on retrofit projects
• Support on site data collection and/or Audits to create centerlines, evaluate performance and identify optimization.
• Understand/learn paper making concepts and technologies
• Lead Project management as a project engineer with small projects with NA customer on a case by case basis
• Support back-office activities, including the preparation of technical and commercial proposals for Capital Projects whenever needed and as instructed.
• Navigate PLM system for data and document storage of Toscotec projects and be able to retrieve drawings and lists specific to projects
• Application work, including CAD drawings, process calculations, 3D drawings, for the preparation of proposals to customer
• Prepare sales and technical presentations and keep them updated with latest references and technology evolutions

• Ability to travel 40-60 percent within the US & Canada with extended stays in Italy during the first 6-12 Months of employment. Continued travel to Italy at least 2 times/year for technology review, alignment with application office, training, and whenever needed to gather critical information useful for the growth of TTNA and complete tasks pertinent to customer proposal preparation or project execution activities
• Proven knowledge of industrial equipment
• Paper manufacturing knowledge
• Excellent knowledge of AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Package (Excel, Word, Project, etc.)
• Good Knowledge of Win Gem and Solidworks
• Knowledge of Energy/thermodynamics applications is a plus:
  Evaluation of air system loops, dryness calculations, energy efficiency, identification of performance and baselines
