Job DescriptionThe company LLC is seeking a highly skilled Process Control Engineer to join our team and play a critical role in supporting and advancing our tissue production operations. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in process control systems, particularly Valmet DCS, with proven ability to maintain, troubleshoot, and program both legacy and modern control architectures. Experience with Quality Control Systems (QCS) and other DCS platforms such as ABB or Honeywell are strongly desired.
This role ensures the mill runs safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards through effective control system design, maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Position Title:
Process Control Engineer
Number of Job Positions Available: 1 for each position Job Type: Full Time/salaried. Starting Salary:
The proposed salary range is $65,000–$70,000.
Workweek:
Standard office hours are typically from 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Friday; however, these hours may vary depending on the specific location and the level of support or issues that arise at the mill.
PPE:
Personal Protection Equipment will be provided by the company at no cost.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience with process control systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong working knowledge of Valmet DCS systems (required).
- Experience with QCS platforms (e.g., Valmet, ABB) and their integration with DCS systems.
- Proficiency in Valmet control loop programming; experience with ABB, Honeywell or other DCS platforms is a plus.
- Proven ability to manage legacy system platforms and drive system upgrade initiatives.
- Solid understanding of control theory, instrumentation, and automation best practices.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills with a proactive mindset.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work cross-functionally.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a tissue or paper mill environment.
- Experience with PLC systems, and other industrial control platforms.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity principles in industrial control systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems, Automation Engineering, or related field.
Transportation from place of recruitment to place of employment will be provided by the company once visa or change of employer is approved. The first-time flight travel (economy class) to the business location will be provided.
Transportation to and from worksite(s) will be provided during the initial period of 3 months. A company vehicle and fuel allowance will be provided.
Housing for the first three months will be provided to help new hires settle in. The housing includes individual rooms in an apartment with utilities, Wi-Fi, and coin-operated laundry.
