Electrical Engineer I
The Electrical Engineer I is responsible for assisting in the application, design, development, project management, and troubleshooting of OEM equipment.
Essential Functions- Gain an understanding of engineering standards, products, systems, and procedures.
- Perform needs analysis, initiate ideas, and evaluate new products, processes, or systems.
- Assist in machinery design and the selection of components and materials.
- Develop engineering specifications and original design concepts.
- Provide detailed technical analysis of equipment.
- Assist in machine process audits and make recommendations to improve line efficiencies.
- Test and debug equipment to isolate defects.
- Prepare layouts using CAD tools.
- Evaluate moderately complex designs; make engineering changes.
- Prepare schematics, assemblies, detailed drawings, and bills of material (BOM) for less complex equipment.
- Support assembly teams as needed.
- May travel to customer site for technical assistance.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering.
- 0 – 5 years of related experience.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and mechanical assembly layouts.
- Working knowledge of CAD (E-Plan and/or AutoCAD) and engineering systems.
- Strong logical, reasoning, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to travel up to 15 %.

- Drives Results – Consistently achieving results, even under tough circumstances.

This position does not lead other team members.
Work Environment/Physical Demands- Typically sits, grasps items, and performs keyboarding for occasional operation of a computer.
- Stand, walk, bend, reach or otherwise move about occasionally.
- Lift, move, or otherwise transfer items up to 30 lbs. occasionally.
- Occasional exposure to typical machine shop physical hazards.
- Travel by air or car occasionally.
