The WI Department of Transportation (WisDOT), Division of Transportation System Development (DTSD) is seeking an interested and qualified individual to fill an Environmental Analysis & Review Specialist Advanced vacancyin the Bureau of Technical Services.

This full time permanent position will be headquartered at one of the Wisconsin DOT DTSD offices in the following cities:
Madison, Eau Claire, Superior, Wisconsin Rapids, Waukesha, Green Bay, La Crosse, Rhinelander.

This position offers a hybridized work schedule. The position will be headquartered at and required to work from the one of the offices listed above at least 2 days per week
. All employees working a hybrid work schedule are still expected to telework from within the State of Wisconsin. This topic will be discussed more at the time of the interview.

This position will also provide research, analysis, consultation and coordination services on proposed environmental laws and regulations including the development and recommendation of department responses to initiating bodies. The position synthesizes state and federal environmental laws and their related regulations and processes them into departmental operating policy. This position assists the Department’s operating units and consultants in the development, implementation, and documentation of environmental processes under the provisions of the National and Wisconsin Environmental Policy Acts, other state and federal law, rule and guidance, and the department’s environmental operational policies, guidelines and procedures.
