Green Bay Packaging - Corporate is seeking an Environmental Engineer to support our Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) team in a manufacturing-focused, sustainability-driven environment. This role leads environmental compliance, permitting, and reporting for air, water, and waste, while advancing our ISO 14001-aligned programs. You will partner with operations to reduce environmental impact, support audits and inspections, and drive continuous improvement. Responsibilities
- Lead environmental compliance for manufacturing operations, ensuring adherence to federal, state, and local regulations
- Prepare and manage air, water, and waste permits and associated reports
- Support implementation and continuous improvement of the environmental management system (e.g., ISO 14001)
- Partner with EHS, operations, and engineering to reduce emissions, waste, and resource use
- Conduct audits, inspections, and root cause analysis; lead corrective actions
- Provide technical guidance, training, and support on environmental programs and best practices
- Analyze environmental performance data and present findings to leadership
- Support sustainability initiatives and eco-friendly projects across facilities
- Engage in cross-functional problem solving and continuous improvement activities
- Coordinate with external agencies, consultants, and vendors as needed
