Georgia-Pacific is seeking an aspiring Construction Management Field Engineer to join our Capital Projects & Engineering team in Green Bay, Wisconsin. This role is designed for students graduating by May
2027. In this role, you will apply your technical knowledge to help develop and deliver large capital projects, obsolescence upgrades, and safety risk reduction initiatives across many of our largest manufacturing facilities.

The Georgia-Pacific Project & Engineering team works across the United States with, and within, our facilities to deliver projects, engineering solutions, technology platforms, and asset strategies that enable our manufacturing capability. This role is expected to travel around 50% of the time.

• Review and understand the scope of work and all aspects of construction for each specific project.
• Build relationships with key partners to build trust and mutual benefit.
• Actively participate in constructability reviews and engineering design of upcoming projects.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA and GP safety requirements, conduct daily and weekly safety meetings and assessments, issue and review safe work permits, and advocate for safe construction practices.
• Work with the director of construction management, project managers, technical COEs, procurement, and mill teams to determine the appropriate contract and construction strategy for projects.
• Utilize technology and innovation to coordinate, communicate, and challenge construction activities with our partners.
• Validate execution plans and schedules for projects throughout entirety of project execution. Ensure commitments/plans are transparent and realistic. Assist with any recovery plans where necessary.
• Participate in reviews of cost, schedule, change management and risk for projects and actively challenge when appropriate. Ensure these areas are up-to-date, transparent, and utilize GP's recommended tools to drive data-driven decision-making.
• Detect gaps in the construction process and conduct field quality audits were necessary. Work with project teams/contractors to develop means to mitigate gaps.
• Assist project teams with checkout, start-up, and punch list activities for their respective projects.
• Submit weekly reports to communicate key actions take during the week, risks, and upcoming activities.

• Bachelor's Degree in Building Science, Construction Management, or Engineering OR in lieu of a degree, construction management or operations experience in a heavy manufacturing environment.
• Experience validating and reviewing existing estimates and schedules.
• Experience working on construction projects from start to finish.
• Ability to travel 50% of the time.
• Eligible for full-time employment in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future

• Previous construction management experience as an intern.
• Experience using MS Project and/or Primavera.
• Experience with constructability reviews for various types of projects.
