Accounting Manager

Our client, a leading manufacturing and construction organization, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Accounting Manager to join their dynamic team. As an Accounting Manager, you will be an integral part of the Finance Department supporting the overall financial health and compliance of the organization. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, analytical thinking, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully within the organization.

** up to $65 per hour depending on experience.

** What's the Job?*
* + Oversee primary accounting operations ensuring accurate, consistent, and timely reporting of financial information across the Group general ledger system.

+ Lead the monthly close process for Corporate and selected Business Units, maintaining high standards of accuracy and compliance.

+ Support financial forecasting and various finance initiatives to drive strategic decision-making.

+ Collaborate closely with Business Unit teams to uphold strong accounting practices and internal controls.

+ Manage and supervise a team of 5+ employees, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional development.

** What's Needed?*
* + Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

+ Six or more years of financial accounting and general ledger experience in a manufacturing or construction environment.

+ Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong knowledge of GAAP and internal controls.

+

Experience with multi-business unit reporting is required; familiarity with government-contractor accounting is preferred.

+ Prior supervisory experience leading a team is required.

+

Experience with financial systems such as SAP, BAAN, Epicor, or Sage; CPA certification or willingness to obtain it.
