Tax Analyst II, US Indirect

This role supports the indirect tax function for multiple U.S. and Canadian legal entities. It offers the opportunity to work on compliance and reporting, tax research, planning, defense, and system enhancements while collaborating with cross‑functional teams across the organization. The role independently analyzes indirect tax data, identifies compliance risks and opportunities, and provides recommendations to improve tax processes and compliance outcomes.
Responsibilities- Prepare and organize monthly compliance work papers.
- File assigned sales and use tax returns, unclaimed property returns, and coordinate payments to ensure accuracy and meet deadlines.
- Research and respond to sales/use tax inquiries from internal and external stakeholders promptly and accurately, providing guidance on indirect tax requirements and processes.
- Review, approve, and upload customer resale and exemption certificates.
- Support indirect tax audits by gathering and providing backup documentation.
- Analyze large data sets to identify tax risks and opportunities.
- Recommend corrective actions for tax software mappings.
- Identify and recommend process improvements to enhance indirect tax compliance, efficiency, and accuracy.
- Research tax legislation and regulatory developments and assess potential impacts to business processes and compliance requirements.
- Prepare 1099 reporting for assigned legal entities.
- Assist with other reporting and special projects, as requested.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field.
- 2+ years of relevant tax, accounting, or finance experience preferred.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to take initiative.
- Proven ability to meet deadlines and manage multiple priorities.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify trends, and develop actionable recommendations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions such as VLOOKUP and pivot tables.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to interact professionally with internal and external partners under pressure.
- Experience with SAP and Vertex is a plus, not required.

This position is eligible for a performance bonus/variable incentive compensation. The salary range for this position is $69,650 - $105,850.
