Director of FinanceThe Director of Finance leads budgeting, forecasting, reporting, accounting, and daily financial operations while supporting M&A and managing the finance team. As a strategic partner to leadership, this role brings clarity to financial performance, strengthens decision support, and ensures finance capabilities scale with the firm’s growth.
What You’ll Do- Lead development and execution of the firm’s financial strategy in alignment with organizational growth goals.
- Partner with executive leadership to translate financial insights into business decisions.
- Own and oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long‑range financial planning processes.
- Manage and optimize cash flow, working capital and allocation strategies.
- Serve as primary financial liaison to external stakeholders including auditors, banking partners, and tax advisors.
- Lead, develop, and mentor Finance team members, fostering accountability and continuous improvement.
- Drive improvements in financial systems, reporting tools, and data integration to enhance efficiency and scalability.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance or related field. 7‑10 years of experience in accounting/finance.
- Prior financial services industry experience.
- Advanced knowledge of balance sheet reconciliations and ability to complete them within strict monthly deadlines.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to investigate variances and provide clear, actionable insights.
- Solid understanding of GAAP and compliance standards, with a consistent focus on audit readiness and accuracy.
- High attention to detail, ensuring error‑free financial data and maintaining strong accuracy ratings.
- Advanced Excel and Quick Books accounting system skills; prior experience with Salesforce is helpful.
