Job Summary

The Wealth Advisor deepens relationships with an existing client base and organically grows their practice through referrals. Leveraging our unified in‑house team of experts, the Advisor helps clients achieve their financial goals. Our dedicated Sales team allows Advisors to focus solely on client relationships, providing advanced financial planning, investment, tax, estate, and insurance solutions.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Partner with affluent clients to identify financial goals, analyze financial landscapes, and develop recommendations that support well‑defined objectives.
  • Communicate complex financial solutions to clients, building and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Ensure client retention through meaningful, long‑lasting relationships and appropriate financial solutions.
  • Leverage Mercer’s comprehensive solutions—including tax, estate planning, insurance, and more—to offer a full suite of services.
  • Maintain compliance and regulatory standards, adhering to company client‑care policies.
  • Act as a fiduciary, placing client interests first.
Education and Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution (preferable in Business, Economics, Accounting, or Finance). Master’s degree is a plus.
Experience
  • 7‑10 years of related experience (Independent Advisor, Registered Representative, Securities Portfolio Manager, Financial Planner, CPA, etc.).
Certifications and Licenses
  • Certified Financial Planner (CFP) designation required; or alternate designations such as ChFC, PFS, CFA, or CIC acceptable.
  • Series 65 license required unless an exempt designation applies.
Skills & Competencies
  • Advanced knowledge of financial products and planning concepts.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills for investment, finance, and tax solutions.
  • Strong understanding of economic impacts on clients and the firm.
  • Experience with financial planning software.
  • Collaborative, team‑oriented mindset; willingness to support peers.
  • Sales aptitude preferred.
  • Entrepreneurial spirit with a growth mindset and positive attitude.
  • Proficient in asset allocation, portfolio review, and investment strategy.
  • Comprehensive compliance knowledge.
  • Travel up to 20% as required.
Work Schedule

Business hours Monday through Friday.

Working Conditions

Hybrid schedule combining remote and office work; professional office environment. The role involves standing and sitting and will be assigned a workstation.

Compensation

Annual base salary range: $85,000 – $145,000 USD. Eligible for annual bonus and other incentive compensation.
