Back Mammography Technologist – Green Bay Metro Area
Location: Green Bay, Wisconsin, United States
Position: Full Time and Part Time
Job Summary: The Mammography Technologist at Prevea Health performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with the Radiologist protocols. This role is primarily responsible for conducting mammograms while also supporting general x‑ray and other specialty imaging such as orthopedics. The technologist positions imaging equipment, adjusts techniques as appropriate to patient body habitus, records, processes, and maintains patient data within the electronic medical record (EMR) and PACS system.
The technologist completes all image processing procedures and QC testing, follows radiologist protocols to ensure diagnostic quality, uses radiation safety measures and protection devices to comply with government regulations, and communicates with patients to explain procedures, obtain clinical history, confirm understanding, and address questions or concerns.
The technologist also performs phlebotomy and basic lab testing as ordered by providers and may rotate on a mobile mammography unit.
Education & Qualifications- Graduation from an accredited or approved program in Radiological Technology.
- 1–3 years current clinical experience in diagnostic radiology, preferably mammography; clinical student experience may be considered.
- One-year current clinical experience is required.
- Knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and positioning to image the area(s) of interest.
- Knowledge of safety hazards common to radiology including equipment, body mechanics, and patient movement.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and peers.
We encourage radiologic technologists planning to sit for their mammography boards within the next year to apply. Candidates actively training toward certification are welcome – your title will remain Radiologic Technologist until board certification is complete.
