Position Summary

The Assistant Nursing Home Administrator will partner with the Executive Director to ensure regulatory compliance, smooth day-to-day operations, and strong HR and staffing practices. This role is ideal for someone with 1–2 years of long-term care experience who is eager to learn, highly independent, and passionate about leadership in the skilled nursing setting.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Executive Director in overseeing daily facility operations.
  • Take the lead on Human Resources functions including staffing, employee relations, onboarding, and policy implementation.
  • Assist with census development strategies and building community partnerships.
  • Oversee the grievance process, ensuring timely investigations, proper documentation, and reporting of any state-reportable incidents.
  • Support department heads in operational initiatives and regulatory preparedness.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations including CMS guidelines.
  • Serve as Administrator on Duty as needed.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Social Work, or a related field.
  • Preferably holds an NHA license or has completed an AIT program.
  • Have taken or are willing to take their boards within the next 90 days.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting.
  • Strong understanding of CMS regulations and operational procedures.
  • HR experience or interest in leading HR-related responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Candidates with a background in social work who are interested in transitioning into administration are encouraged to apply.
