Job Overview:
Schneider is seeking a Leave and Accommodation Specialist in Green Bay, WI to review and determine eligibility for FMLA and state leave requests. The Leave and Accommodation Specialist will ensure compliance with all applicable laws, including programs such as CFRA, PWFA and other state‑specific leave and accommodation entitlements.

Responsibilities
  • Handle complex leave and accommodation scenarios, consulting Legal to resolve issues when needed.
  • Manage the interactive process for accommodation requests and provide guidance on the next steps.
  • Ensure policies, forms, notices and processes are compliant with ADA, EEOC, HIPAA, DOT, ERISA, DOL and state leave regulations.
  • Advise leaders and associates on leave laws, policies and best practices.
  • Maintain accurate records, meet processing deadlines and coordinate with payroll.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and adjust processes as needed.
  • Maintain an up‑to‑date knowledge of leave and accommodation laws.
  • Analyze leave data to improve processes and increase efficiency.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, human resources, risk management or related field.
  • 2-4 years of leave administration or human resources experience.
  • Strong critical thinking, problem solving and decision‑making abilities.
  • Capable of handling difficult or sensitive conversations with clarity and empathy.
  • Excellent at interpreting complex regulations and applying them consistently.
  • Effective conflict resolution and escalation skills.
  • Able to work independently, prioritize effectively and manage high volumes of information with accuracy.
