** Overview
* * The New Employee Support Coordinator works closely with the Recruiting personnel and Hiring Managers to ensure that every DSP/Caregiver hired is positioned for long-term success and a positive employee experience. The New Employee Support Coordinator contributes to successful new hire placement and employee satisfaction, as well as retention through the performance of these core functions:
* Review and assess DSP candidates for job readiness, company and program compatibility.
* Coordinate strategic offers of job placement that align with employee strengths and immediate needs, program needs, team dynamics, and company pay practices.
* Works closely with hiring managers and regional leaders in arranging for a warm welcome and readiness to newly hired DSPs to enhance employee experience, performance, and retention.### ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
* Develops deep understanding of all assigned programs to include location, program/client tiers, client mix, client needs and preferences, staff team dynamics, program schedule, wage tier, etc.
Utilizes this knowledge to make offers of job placement that meet the immediate needs of candidates while promoting long-term retention.
* Collaborates with regional teams to gather, update and write program profiles, ensuring changes are communicated to recruitment and operations. Strategically leverages this information when reviewing DSP candidates and extending offers of employment.
* Conducts live interviews via Zoom, in person at the regional office or through alternate recruitment events. Maintains interview notes, completes actions in Workday per standard workflows. Adheres to HIL standards while demonstrating efficiency and quality in all job contacts and related activities.
* Evaluates candidates post interview to determine next steps based upon candidate experience, skills, strengths, and alignment with position requirements, and available open positions. Makes final hiring decisions, assigns program placement, extends offers of employment, and sets wage in accordance with HIL pay practices.
* Coordinates with regional leadership to confirm hires. Ensures readiness in advance of new hire start to include New Employee Orientation date, work, and training schedule. Collaborates with Scheduler, ESS, and DSS to create warm welcome for the new hire with program team to ensure a positive Day 1 and Week 1 experience.
* Serves as subject matter expert on HIL direct care wage and pay practices.
Maintains a thorough understanding of starting wages, tiered pay structure, experience-based adders, differentials, and sign on and referral bonus programs. Clearly communicates compensation details and effectively explains HIL pay practices to new hire candidates.
* Participates in hosting new hire orientation, training new hires on HIL policies, practices, and process.
* Engages in management meetings, regional meetings, and regularly scheduled check-ins.
* Engages with leaders and new hires post-start to assess satisfaction with placement, identify early support needs and provide efficient solutions.
* Maintains a professional manner, including appearance, language, and interactions with clients, co-workers, and management team. Treats others with dignity and respect.
* Demonstrates knowledge of organizational policies and procedures, the recruitment process, administrative procedures, confidentiality requirements, company forms, and Employee Handbook information. Promotes compliance and standardization in program operations.
* Reports allegations of abuse, conflict of interest, harassment, or fraud to appropriate level of management.

* A high school diploma and a minimum of 1 year of direct care experience while employed at HIL or equivalent Provider required.
* At least 1-2 years of previous supervisory experience is preferred.
