Job Description & How to Apply Below

Technology Architects is an independently owned IT and cybersecurity firm built by entrepreneurs to support the business community. With offices in Green Bay, Minneapolis, and Denver, we partner with growing organizations across the U.S. to reduce complexity, manage risk, and use technology as a strategic advantage.

Role Summary

The Solutions Consultant is the primary onsite consulting presence and client-facing technical liaison for assigned Technology Architects customers. This role serves as the connective tissue between the client and Technology Architects’ internal teams, ensuring client environments are deeply understood, properly aligned, and fully supportable within our Managed Intelligence model.

The Solutions Consultant identifies client pain points at every level of the organization from end users to executive leadership and translates those insights into actionable initiatives across vCIO planning, Managed Intelligence, Cyber Security, sales, and project delivery.

This is a high-trust, high-visibility role for a technical professional who excels at communication, discovery, and strategic alignment, not just technical execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, document, and prioritize pain points across:
  • End users
  • Department managers
  • IT contacts
  • Executive leadership and ownership
  • Translate business and operational challenges into:
  • Technical findings
  • Serve as the voice of the client inside Technology Architects, ensuring insights are not siloed or lost
2. Primary Client Point of Contact
  • Act as a consistent, trusted onsite point of contact into Technology Architects
  • Represent TA with authority, clarity, and accountability
  • Guide clients on:
  • Ownership and responsibilities
  • How requests flow through Technology Architects
  • What to expect next
  • Reduce fragmentation, confusion, and unnecessary escalations
3. Onsite Environment Discovery & Assessment
  • Conduct ongoing onsite assessments of:
  • Infrastructure and networking
  • Endpoint and device landscape
  • Security posture
  • Backup and disaster recovery
  • Validate alignment between:
  • Documentation standards
  • Monitoring and management tools (Auvik, Connect Wise RMM)
4. vCIO Enablement & Strategic Input
  • Provide ground-truth technical and operational insight to the vCIO function
  • Supply:
  • Risk and business impact analysis
  • Required vs. recommended improvements
  • Partner with vCIOs to:
  • Build accurate, realistic roadmaps
  • Design executive-ready initiatives
  • Align technology strategy with business goals
5. Project Opportunity Identification & Sales Enablement
  • Identify project opportunities based on:
  • Onsite findings
  • Risk, compliance, and security gaps
  • Translate opportunities into:
  • Required involvement from Managed Intelligence and Cyber Security
  • Support sales by validating feasibility and scope (non-quota-carrying role)
6. Solution Design & Deployment Support
  • Assist vCIO and sales teams with solution design prior to approval
  • Participate in post-approval project execution alongside:
  • Cyber Security
  • Ensure delivery aligns with:
  • Design intent
  • Operational standards
  • Long-term supportability
  • Support clean transitions back into Managed Intelligence operations
7. Documentation & Internal Coordination
  • Document findings, decisions, and recommendations in IT Glue
  • Ensure clean, structured handoffs to:
  • vCIO
  • Cyber Security
  • Prevent siloed knowledge and lost client intelligence
What We’re Looking For
  • Strong technical foundation across infrastructure, networking, cloud, and security
  • Proven experience in client-facing consulting or architecture roles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive leadership
  • Comfortable working onsite with clients and representing Technology Architects
  • Highly organized, documentation-driven, and collaborative
  • Solutions-oriented mindset with strong ownership and accountability
Why Join Technology Architects
  • Consulting-first culture with real influence over client outcomes
  • Clear separation between reactive support and strategic consulting
  • Opportunity to shape client roadmaps, not just respond to tickets
  • Collaborative team environment across Managed Intelligence, Cyber Security, and vCIO services
  • Growing firm with strong leadership, standards, and long-term vision
