The E-commerce Specialist is responsible for managing and optimizing the company’s SaaS-based e-commerce platform to support both B2B and B2C customers. This role ensures platform performance, content accuracy, system integrations, and ongoing enhancements while leveraging analytics and customer insights to improve user experience, conversion, and revenue growth. The Specialist serves as a key liaison between internal teams and external technology partners, helping drive continuous improvement across digital commerce operations.

Duties/Responsibilities
  • Own day-to-day administration and ongoing optimization of the company’s SaaS e-commerce platform, ensuring high functionality, uptime, and a seamless customer experience.
  • Monitor platform performance and troubleshoot issues in real time to minimize disruptions and customer impact.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for third-party SaaS vendors, payment processors, shipping partners, and external service providers.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to implement system updates, patches, enhancements, and improvements to third-party tools and plug-ins.
  • Manage product content including listings, descriptions, pricing, and images to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with marketing initiatives.
  • Analyze customer behavior, site feedback, and performance trends to identify opportunities to improve usability, product discoverability, and search engine rankings.
  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to support campaigns, promotions, merchandising strategies, and pricing initiatives across digital channels.
  • Implement personalized and targeted online experiences for B2B and B2C customers, supporting segmentation and customer engagement strategies.
  • Track and report on key performance metrics (KPIs) such as traffic, conversion rates, retention, and revenue growth; provide actionable recommendations for platform improvements.
  • Create and maintain documentation and training materials; provide training to internal staff on new features, processes, and platform functionality.
  • Act as a primary internal support resource for e-commerce platform questions, troubleshooting, and user support needs.
  • Open and willing to perform other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, IT, or a related field required (or equivalent experience).
  • 3+ years of experience managing e-commerce platforms in a B2B and/or B2C environment.
  • Strong understanding of SaaS-based e-commerce solutions and platform functionality.
  • Proficiency with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Magento, Shopify, Big Commerce) and integration with ERP/CRM systems.
  • Experience with web analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and a working knowledge of SEO/SEM best practices.
  • Experience collaborating across departments including IT, marketing, sales, operations, and external vendors.
  • Experience working in distribution, logistics, or related industries preferred.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools, automation, and customer engagement strategies preferred.
  • Experience with product information management (PIM) systems preferred.
  • Understanding of e-commerce compliance regulations and security best practices.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and translate findings into improvements and business results.
  • Excellent problem-solving ability, including diagnosing and resolving technical issues efficiently.

  • Tech-savvy with a commitment to staying current on e-commerce tools, trends, and best practices.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities, projects, and deadlines.
