SAP Business Systems Analyst
The Business Systems Analyst will be a member of the business systems design team and will be responsible for configuration and function support of the assigned SAP module. They will analyze business needs to design solutions meeting those needs, support assigned functional area projects and enhancements through consulting, configuration, and design specifications.
Responsibilities- Manage incidents and request tickets in assigned functional areas.
- Manage future small to mid‑size enhancements and projects to meet specific business needs within agreed time and budget.
- Responsible for SAP configuration and support of assigned functional areas.
- Responsible for future requirements gathering, solution design, creation of functional design, and direction of development activity needed to meet business needs with internal and external staff.
- Responsible for testing and defect management.
- Build and maintain effective business relationships with assigned business areas to understand business processes and where they can be optimized through technology.
- Research technology direction of responsible functional areas and stay abreast of new functionality and capabilities.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Ability to interact effectively with business users and IT staff.
- Effective communication skills, written and oral.
- Self‑started with the ability to accomplish tasks without direct supervision and work effectively as a team member.
- Ability to prioritize work effectively and adapt to shifting business priorities.
- Ability to analyze and translate business needs in assigned area.
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and concepts.
- Experience in a development language and debugging.
- Prior exposure to SAP ECC is advantageous.
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology with focus on business applications or comparable work experience required. Prior SAP configuration, testing and change management, and understanding of system development life cycle experience preferred.
