The Systems Administrator II serves as a senior technical resource responsible for the administration, governance, security, and modernization of a Microsoft 365 ecosystem and cloud-first infrastructure environment.

This is not a traditional maintenance-focused Systems Administrator role. The ideal candidate will be a builder who can assess current-state environments, identify risks and opportunities, establish standards, create documentation, and help drive infrastructure modernization initiatives.

This individual will partner closely with leadership and technical teams to improve security posture, strengthen governance, modernize infrastructure, and implement scalable operational processes.

• Administer and govern Microsoft 365 technologies
• Manage Entra  identity lifecycle processes
• Support Conditional Access policies and security controls
• Administer Intune and endpoint management platforms
• Manage Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, and One Drive
• Support Microsoft Defender and security initiatives
• Assist with compliance, governance, and audit readiness activities
• Monitor and improve Secure Score and security posture
• Participate in Change Management and CAB processes
• Support cloud infrastructure administration (IaaS/PaaS)
• Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives
• Assess and improve networking environments
• Create and maintain technical documentation, SOPs, and standards
• Serve as a Tier III escalation resource
• Provide technical recommendations and strategic guidance
• Support operational, security, and infrastructure improvement projects

• 5-7+ years of Systems Administration experience
• Conditional Access administration
• Exchange Online administration
• Teams administration
• SharePoint administration
• One Drive administration
• Cloud infrastructure administration (IaaS/PaaS)
• Identity and Access Management experience
• Security and compliance experience
• Endpoint management experience
• Experience creating documentation, SOPs, and operational standards
• Strong troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills
• Experience supporting governance and process improvement initiatives
• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
