CopperPoint Insurance Companies is a leading provider of workers’ compensation and commercial insurance solutions, operating across eleven Western U.S. states. This role supports the underwriting division by managing new business submission intake, supporting midterm policy changes, renewals, and new product launches across all lines of business.
Job Responsibilities- Accurately process new business submissions, entering all risk and exposure information into the rating system to develop base premiums.
- Complete Market Reservation, OFAC, and Experian checks.
- Prep new business and renewal accounts, including file set‑up, web searches, and loss information entry.
- Execute endorsement, cancellation, and reinstatement triage and processing within defined underwriting guidelines.
- Process Broker of Service / Broker of Record requests.
- Bind/issue new business payroll service submissions.
- Process all other defined tasks associated with new products or vertical launches.
- Process auto and cargo filings.
- BS/BA college degree or equivalent work experience; preferred knowledge of risk management, business administration, or finance.
- Experience with commercial lines insurance is a plus.
- Detail‑oriented with excellent customer service skills.
- Strong teamwork, planning and organizing abilities.
- Accountable and dependable with good problem‑solving skills.
- Focus on quality.
- Health, dental, vision, short‑ and long‑term disability, life insurance, HSA, FSA, and a 401(k) plan.
- Basic life insurance and AD&D at two times an employee’s annual salary, short‑ and long‑term disability, and Employee Assistance Plan at no cost.
- Accrual of 0.0692 hours of PTO per paid hour (≈18 days a year) plus ten paid holidays annually.
- $41,000.00 – $44,000.00 annually.
- Compensation varies with skills, experience, education, and location.
- Base salary may include an annual discretionary bonus.
