Position Summary

The Supply Chain Center of Excellence (COE) Manager leads and scales key COE capabilities that drive operational excellence, supplier performance, analytics, and continuous improvement across the organization. This role acts as a strategic partner to the Director and is accountable for translating COE strategy into actionable plans and delivering measurable business results. The Manager leads across multiple COE capability areas—supplier performance, sustainability, analytics, and continuous improvement—with scope evolving based on business priorities and individual strengths.

The position includes leadership of a growing team and requires aligning resources, prioritizing initiatives, and developing talent while driving cross‑functional execution.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • COE Capability Leadership
    • Lead one or more Supply COE capability areas (supplier performance, sustainability, analytics, continuous improvement, or project execution).
    • Translate COE strategy into executable roadmaps, ensuring delivery of initiatives aligned with business priorities.
    • Establish governance, standard processes, and performance metrics across assigned areas.
    • Drive alignment and integration across COE capabilities to enable scalable, efficient processes.
  • People Leadership & Organizational Development
    • Lead, coach, and develop a team across COE capabilities.
    • Define roles, responsibilities, and priorities aligned with evolving organizational needs.
    • Manage workload and ensure effective execution across multiple projects and work streams.
    • Build team capability in analytics, problem‑solving, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Supplier Performance, Sustainability & Risk Management
    • Oversee supplier performance management programs, including scorecards, governance, and continuous improvement plans.
    • Drive supplier risk identification, mitigation strategies, and ongoing monitoring processes.
    • Support sustainability initiatives through standardized processes, reporting, and supplier engagement.
    • Partner with Strategic Sourcing and Operations to improve supplier performance, reliability, and capability.
  • Rapid Innovation Support
    • Qualify and onboard new suppliers aligned with business objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement & Cost Optimization
    • Lead cross‑functional initiatives focused on improving cost, service, quality, and operational performance.
    • Identify and execute cost‑saving opportunities, including reformulation, productivity improvements, and process optimization.
    • Partner with Finance, R&D, Operations, and Procurement to validate and track savings initiatives.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement and disciplined problem‑solving.
  • Analytics & Performance Management
    • Develop and maintain KPIs, dashboards, and reporting frameworks to provide visibility and accountability.
    • Use data analytics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities across supply chain and operations.
    • Support development of data‑driven decision‑making and reporting capabilities across the organization.
  • Cross‑Functional Execution & Strategic Initiatives
    • Partner with Operations, Procurement, Finance, R&D, and other functions to drive alignment and execution of COE initiatives.
    • Support supply chain readiness for innovation, new product launches, and strategic projects.
    • Facilitate cross‑functional collaboration to deliver measurable business outcomes.
  • Other Responsibilities
    • Stay current on industry trends, tools, and technologies related to supply chain and operational excellence.
    • Support broader COE initiatives and priorities as directed.
Supervisory Responsibilities

This role includes leadership of direct and/or indirect reports. Team structure may evolve based on organizational priorities and the strengths of the individual in this role.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
  • 7+ years of supply chain/project management experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading cross‑functional initiatives or programs.
