Senior Director of Planning and Purchasing

Marvin is seeking a Senior Director of Planning and Purchasing to lead end-to-end materials planning, procurement, and inventory strategy for our premium window, door, and skylight manufacturing operations. This role will design and execute demand, capacity, and materials plans, optimize inventory and working capital, and build a resilient supplier base that supports quality, cost, and delivery goals. You will lead a high-performing team, enhance MRP/ERP planning processes, and partner closely with Operations, Engineering, and Finance in a people-first, safety-focused culture committed to craftsmanship, innovation, and long-term career growth.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end production planning and purchasing strategy across Marvin's manufacturing network.
• Develop and execute demand, capacity, and materials plans to meet customer and inventory targets.
• Lead supplier selection, negotiation, and performance management for key categories.
• Optimize inventory levels, material availability, and working capital across plants.
• Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Finance on S&OP and long-range capacity planning.
• Implement and refine MRP/ERP planning processes, KPIs, and governance.
• Drive continuous improvement in cost, quality, and on-time delivery.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing planning and purchasing organization.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and ethical sourcing standards.
• Support strategic initiatives such as new product launches and network optimization.
