Installation Technician, Maintenance Technician / Mechanic

KI, a world class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Travel Technician to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility. A $1.00/hour raise is also given within the first year of employment.

Job Duties- Service/repair product in-house and in the field
- Must be trained in the product line being serviced
- Be able to work in a safe manner and correct safety issues
- Use Pneumatic tools
- Identify problems and get the parts to service
- Write trip reports documenting and summarizing installations
- Make Travel Arrangements
- React in the field to unforeseen problems
- Assist Customer Service in verbal and written installation procedures
- Inspect and report on returns and customer complaints. Develop action steps to correct quality problems.
- Develop or purchase special tools as necessary to complete repairs
- Contact and train field installers
- Work with Engineering and Customer Service to develop samples and tooling for orders and special cost requests
- Serve as a technical resource for Customer Service
- Work in Production areas when no field repairs are scheduled
- High School Diploma or Equivalent Preferred
- Must have a valid Driver's License
- Experience with KI product and a Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to travel across the US for field repairs
- Mechanically inclined with previous manufacturing experience, but not required
- Team Player
- Computer knowledge
- Willingness to learn
- Ability to communicate effectively with multiple levels within the organization
- Working in areas where it can get warm
- Working in a smoke free environment
- Activities including standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow
- Hours for this position will vary depending on travel schedule
