Custodian

W.E. Hoban Company is a premier custom forging and steel manufacturing company with over 100 years of experience. We are looking for a Custodian to join our team and maintain the cleanliness and safety of our facility.

• Perform general cleaning and janitorial duties in common areas, offices, production spaces, cafeteria/break rooms, restrooms, and windows.
• Sweep, mop, empty garbage bins, and maintain restroom air fresheners.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance such as replacing light fixtures, unclogging pipes, mowing, trimming hedges, and clearing snow/ice from sidewalks.
• Operate floor scrubbers, vacuums, and other cleaning equipment, ensuring they remain in proper working condition.
• Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, and ensure supplies are stocked.
• Use cleaning chemicals safely in accordance with SDS guidelines.
• Assist in examining the facility for safety hazards, reporting deficiencies to management or the Safety Manager.
• Perform additional janitorial and light facility maintenance duties as requested.

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Knowledge of safety hazards and proper use of cleaning and sanitizing solutions, including SDS requirements.
• Detail-oriented, thorough, and able to keep the facility clean and orderly.
• Ability to perform basic repairs and operate tools or equipment used in routine maintenance.
