The Vice President, Capacity Solutions at KBX will provide strategic leadership and direction for the Global Capacity Solutions team, ensuring alignment with our Principle Based Management approach (PBM) and the overall KBX Vision. This leader will drive the creation of innovative, cost-effective, and service-focused capacity solutions that add value to KBX, our customers, and our carrier partners.

The KBX Global Capacity Solutions team leads the company’s strategic sourcing and carrier partnership programs across all transportation modes. Our primary objective is to deliver capacity solutions to the business that are creative, cost effective, service focused, and add value to our KBX teammates, our customers, and our carrier partners.

• Lead and coach the Capacity Solutions team using PBM, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive culture focused on continuous improvement and innovation.
• Guide the team in leveraging analytics and financial insights to make strategic, economic decisions regarding capacity solutions, technology investments, and operational improvements.
• Build a culture where data-driven decision-making and critical analysis are standard practice, ensuring all major decisions are supported by robust financial and market analysis.
• Develop and implement global capacity strategies that maximize long‑term value, competitive advantage, and mutual benefit for KBX, our customers, and carriers.
• Guide the team in leveraging technology, analytics, and process improvements to drive efficiency, scalability, and data-driven decision-making.
• Analyze and improve financial performance by making strategic economic decisions regarding staffing, technology, and operational expenses, with a focus on optimizing Cost to Serve.
• Lead strategies for benchmarking, market analysis, and application of data to enhance buying power and market presence.
• Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies to optimize the risk profile and ensure proactive carrier performance management.
• Set clear, measurable goals and expectations for team members, provide regular feedback, and support individual development opportunities.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure KBX’s capacity solutions remain competitive and innovative.

• Experience using data and financial analysis capabilities to evaluate, challenge and assess market alternatives.
• Experience negotiating and managing strategic vendor relationships.
• Experience fostering growth of leaders/supervisors through effective coaching and feedback.
• Experience coaching leaders to make principled talent decisions that uphold organizational standards and support long‑term success.
• Leadership experience in supply chain or logistics or transportation.

• Experience working in transportation procurement and capacity management practices, processes and systems.
• Experience implementing and developing capacity solution strategies.
• Experience with Transportation procurement at scale.
• Experience leading system implementations and significant process transformations that drove efficiency and improved results.
