Assistant Service Manager - Wisconsin H&A Recruiter

An established equipment dealership in the Green Bay,Wisconsin area is seeking an Assistant Service Manager to support daily service department operations and help lead a team of technicians. This role partners closely with the Service Manager to drive operational efficiency, team development, customer satisfaction, and departmental performance.

The ideal candidate brings prior management, supervisory, or coaching experience and understands how to motivate teams while maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced technical environment.

Responsibilities
  • Support day-to-day service department operations, including workflow coordination and technician scheduling
  • Coach, mentor, and develop service technicians and support staff
  • Assign daily tasks and monitor quality, efficiency, and completion timelines
  • Assist in tracking labor performance, work orders, and productivity metrics
  • Serve as a point of contact between customers and service personnel to ensure clear communication
  • Help resolve customer concerns and maintain high satisfaction levels
  • Support job costing, warranty processing, and departmental expense control
  • Collaborate with parts and sales teams to improve service delivery and identify upsell opportunities
  • Promote a safe work environment and reinforce compliance with safety standards

  • Prior management, supervisory, or coaching experience required
  • 3+ years of experience in service, mechanical, or heavy equipment environments
  • Strong leadership and team development skills
  • Understanding of service department operations, labor tracking, and basic financial metrics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and service management systems
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform occasional hands-on equipment inspections
