Position Summary

The Regional Director of Trust and Advisory Services is a senior leader responsible for executing the growth, performance, and client engagement strategy for the Personal Trust advisory business within an assigned region. This role leads teams of Trust Relationship Managers, Trust Officers, and Wealth Advisors while maintaining and actively managing a portfolio of client relationships. The Regional Director balances personal production with team leadership to drive overall regional performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Regional Business Performance:
    Own regional performance with accountability for revenue growth, client retention, and relationship expansion within assigned markets; execute business strategies; monitor key performance indicators and drive actions to improve results.
  • Sales Execution & Business Development:
    Drive disciplined execution of business development strategies, including client acquisition, relationship deepening, and referral generation; reinforce expectations for pipeline management, prospecting activity, and conversion effectiveness across teams; personally contribute to regional growth through active participation in key client and prospect opportunities.
  • Client Portfolio Management (Player‑Coach):
    Maintain and actively manage a portfolio of client relationships, delivering trust, advisory, and financial planning solutions; serve as a senior advisor to clients and centers of influence, contributing directly to revenue generation and relationship growth; balance personal production responsibilities with team leadership to drive overall regional performance.
  • People Leadership & Team Effectiveness:
    Lead and develop teams of trust and advisory professionals, providing coaching, direction, and performance management; build a high‑performing culture focused on accountability, client experience, and growth outcomes; support talent planning, succession development, and onboarding aligned to business needs.
  • Market Presence & Client Engagement:
    Maintain an active presence in the market, building relationships with key clients, centers of influence, and referral partners; strengthen local market positioning by identifying growth opportunities and supporting go‑to‑market execution; model effective relationship management and client engagement behaviors.
  • Cross‑Functional Partnership:
    Partner with private banking, investment management, wealth planning, and fiduciary teams to deliver coordinated client solutions; ensure alignment between advisory, sales, and support teams to enhance client experience and drive growth.
  • Risk & Compliance Leadership:
    Ensure adherence to fiduciary responsibilities, regulatory requirements, and enterprise risk standards in all client and business activities; reinforce compliant behaviors and sound risk management practices across teams.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 12+ years progressive experience in trust, wealth management, private banking, fiduciary services, or related advisory businesses, including experience in business development and client relationship management.
  • 10+ years demonstrated success leading teams and driving performance across defined markets or client segments; experience leading through frontline managers or senior individual contributors within a regional or multi‑market structure.
  • 10+ years proven ability to execute business strategies, manage sales pipelines, and deliver measurable growth outcomes.
  • 10+ years strong client relationship and business development skills, with ability to engage centers of influence and referral partners.
