KI, a world-class supplier of innovative and award-winning furniture solutions for business, educational, and healthcare environments, is seeking a full-time Shear Operator to join our Green Bay manufacturing facility on our 3rd shift. 3rd shift individuals receive an hourly shift differential of $3.00. A $1.00/hour raise is also given within the first year of employment. To learn more about KI, please visit
Job Duties- The shear operator is responsible for setting up the Haven Shear and End Finisher as well as making adjustments to ensure accurate product is being produced.
- Complete daily, safety inspections of the shear and end finisher.
- Cut the correct materials according to the shop orders.
- Change blades as necessary.
- Change and adjust machines based on tubing diameter and length.
- Transport bundles of steel tubing utilizing a hoist system.
- Perform multiple tasks to ISO Quality Standards.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
High School Diploma or Equivalent.
Preferred Value Added Skills- Mechanically inclined with previous Manufacturing Experience, but not required.
- Communication Skills
- Computer knowledge
- Willingness to learn
- Must be able to take measurements by using the decimal system
- Ability to read KI print will be useful
- Working in areas where it can get warm
- Working in a smoke free environment
- Activities including standing, walking, lifting, twisting and bending
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to assist in any given area of the plant if your area is slow
This is a 3rd Shift position. Hours are 10:00 PM – 6:00 AM, Sunday night through Friday. Morning Shift premium of $3.00/hour. Overtime during busy season.
