Maintenance Mechanic

Overview

Green Bay Dressed Beef Processing, LLC, an American Foods Group company, is hiring a Maintenance Mechanic I for our East River plant in Green Bay, WI.

• Assist higher‑level mechanics with tasks such as servicing, repairing, adjusting and testing machines, devices, and moving parts that operate primarily on mechanical principles.
• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on facility machinery (e.g., grease, change bearings, replace worn parts) to ensure machinery runs at 100% and meets daily production demand.
• Repair and replace conveyor belts.
• Turn off, lock out, and tag out equipment when not in use.
• Complete required paperwork, including maintenance logs and repair logs.
• Notify lead or supervisor of any malfunctions or required repairs.

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Must be able to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Must be able to work in a variety of temperatures (warm, hot, humid, cold, wet) and at varied heights in and around moving equipment and parts while using personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Hours vary based on production needs; extended hours may be required.
• Must successfully complete training in:
  • Safety
  • Safe Quality Food (SQF)
  • Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
  • Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP)
  • Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
  • Food defense

• Prior maintenance experience.
• Prior production experience.
• Work history in the last 12 months.
