Quality Technician
As a Quality Technician, you will be responsible for testing finished products for various parameters such as acid, salt, pH, and sulfites. You will also perform metal detection and assess fill weights, drained weights, defects, and abnormal colors or flavors. Additionally, you will ensure that coding is correct on packaging and cases, perform audits, and resolve all issues related to product quality.
Responsibilities- Test finished products for acid, salt, pH, and sulfites.
- Perform metal detection and assess fill weights, drained weights, defects, and abnormal colors or flavors.
- Ensure coding is correct on packaging and cases.
- Perform audits and resolve issues related to product quality.
- Complete Quality Assurance/Control paperwork.
- Comply with GMPs, safety and quality standards, food safety measures, and OSHA regulations.
- Degree in the Sciences (Biology, Environmental Science, Agriculture, Food Science, Biochemistry, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail.
- Ability to uphold quality standards and hold manufacturing accountable to those.
Skills & Qualifications
- Previous Food Manufacturing or HACCP/Food Safety Experience is a plus.
- 1+ years of experience in Quality.
- 1+ year of GMP and FDA/USDA experience.
This position is based in a food manufacturing facility specializing in sauerkraut production, where the smell can be intense role is lab-based but requires sample collection on the production floor. The position offers a shift opening, with initial training on the Day Shift lasting 2‑4 weeks.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Green Bay, WI.
Pay And BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $41,600.00 - $52,000.00/yr.
401k, two weeks vacation accrued & 2 hours accrued sick time per month, medical, dental, vision, company paid life insurance, short term and long term disability.
Workplace TypeThis is a fully onsite position in Green Bay, WI.
