Forklift Operator/Material Handler

This position primarily involves operating powered equipment and handling materials in a warehouse environment. Responsibilities include moving, locating, relocating, stacking, and counting product; inspecting inbound and outbound products; ensuring product safety, integrity, and compliance with customer requirements.

Shift Schedule
  • AM Shift (Plant): 6 am‑6:30 pm, day shift rotates on a 3‑2‑2 schedule.
  • PM Shift (Plant): 6 pm‑6:30 am, night shift rotates on a 3‑2‑2 schedule.
  • AM Shift (WHS): 6 am‑6 pm, day shift rotates on a 3‑2‑2 schedule.
  • PM Shift (WHS): 6 pm‑6:30 am, night shift rotates on a 3‑2‑2 schedule.
Pay

Starting Pay: $21.25 per hour.

PM Shift differential: $2.00 per hour Monday‑Thursday nights, $3.00 per hour Friday‑Sunday nights.

AM Shift Weekend differential: $1.00 per hour for Saturday and Sunday shifts.

Required Skills and Experience
  • Forklift experience with a clean work history.
  • Ability to safely operate a forklift while performing material handling tasks such as loading, unloading, stacking, and staging product.

Key Accountabilities
  • Physically load product onto equipment, pallets or totes more than 20% of specified shift.
  • Put‑away and pick product for shipment or stock; ensure correct quantity and type.
  • Compare quantity, quality, labeling, and address with the customer’s order.
  • Change equipment battery or LP tank and monitor power source as needed.
  • Verify and report discrepancies such as non‑available products and OS&D.
  • Maintain the facility and its equipment in a neat, clean, orderly fashion; inspect all operated equipment daily.
  • Assist in physical inventories.
Required

Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent (preferred).
  • Six months of warehouse experience (preferred).
  • Six months of forklift operation experience (preferred).
