Georgia‑Pacific's Packerland location is seeking motivated Material Handlers who are detail‑oriented and excel in a team environment. The role offers swing‑shift opportunities on a 2‑2‑3 schedule, allowing you to work only half the month, enjoy a three‑day weekend every other weekend, and have weekdays off for personal matters. Forklift operators alternate between two weeks on day shifts and two weeks on night shifts.
Overtime is not mandatory, so your workdays are predictable, though the schedule does include days, nights, weekends, holidays, and possible overtime.
Starting rate is a minimum of $20 per hour
, with the potential for more based on experience, plus a $3.00 per hour shift premium for night shifts between 6:30 PM and 6:30 AM.

- Operate mobile equipment with various attachments—clamps, fork, prong, etc.—to move material throughout the mill to ensure a smooth flow for production.
- Use a warehouse management system to manage the various jobs that need to be completed each day.
- Perform general housekeeping duties to keep work areas clean and free of safety hazards.
- Conduct minor and preventative maintenance repairs and tasks on fork truck.
- Adhere to strict safety rules and regulations, including wearing safety personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Attend your regular scheduled shift without violations, including tardiness, and participate in meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform tasks such as lifting, walking, climbing, stooping, standing, pushing, and/or pulling for up to twelve (12) hours a day, in a loud/noisy, industrial, non‑temperature–controlled, high‑volume environment.
- Follow SQF standards—no jewelry is allowed on the production floor. Anyone in this role must be willing to remove all jewelry during their scheduled shift.
- Experience using a computer, tablet, or smartphone.
- Speak, read, and write English.
- Forklift experience.
