Are you a skilled Welder with a talent for leadership and a passion for precision? We're looking for an experienced professional to Lead our Frame Welding Shop and contribute to the success of our production team!

As the Weld Lead
, you'll balance hands-on welding expertise with team leadership responsibilities. Your role will involve planning, organizing, and driving daily production activities while maintaining high safety and quality standards. You'll also play a key part in fostering a culture of continuous improvement through Lean Manufacturing principles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and Coordinate
    :
    Oversee daily welding operations, ensuring production schedules are met efficiently.
  • Hands-On Welding
    :
    Fit, weld, and grind light-gauge sheet metal door frames with precision.
  • Process Improvement
    :
    Implement solutions to improve quality, efficiency, and safety.
  • Training & Development
    :
    Mentor team members to enhance skills and maintain high performance.
  • Collaboration
    :
    Work closely with other departments to align schedules and address issues.
  • Safety & Quality
    :
    Uphold a safe work environment and ensure all work meets exacting quality standards.
Qualifications

We're seeking a dependable leader with the following:

  • Strong welding experience, including MIG/GMAW and plasma cutting.
  • Ability to read and interpret shop drawings, work orders, and technical specifications.
  • Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing principles and a track record of process improvement.
  • Solid problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • A high school diploma (or equivalent) and relevant hands-on experience.
