Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site Manufacturing Engineer role located in Dodge County, WI. The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and documenting manufacturing processes for tool, die, and mold components to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety. Day-to-day responsibilities include analyzing production workflows, specifying equipment and tooling, supporting machining operations, and coordinating with maintenance and production teams to resolve manufacturing issues.

The role will also involve implementing continuous improvement initiatives, supporting ISO and regulatory compliance, and collaborating with cross-functional teams on new product introduction and cost reduction projects. The Manufacturing Engineer will provide technical support to operations, participate in root cause analysis, and help maintain standardized work and best practices across the facility.

Qualifications
  • Strong foundation in Manufacturing Engineering and Manufacturing Processes, with the ability to design, evaluate, and improve production methods.
  • Knowledge of Mechanical Engineering principles applied to tooling, fixtures, and equipment used in metal-working and plastics manufacturing.
  • Experience in Industrial Engineering, including workflow analysis, layout optimization, and productivity and cost improvement.
  • Hands-on familiarity with Machining operations, CNC equipment, and related tooling and measurement practices.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent practical experience).
  • Understanding of ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 requirements and experience working in a quality-focused manufacturing environment.
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software and basic data analysis tools to support process design and improvement.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to communicate clearly with cross-functional teams on the shop floor and in engineering.
  • Ability to work on-site in Dodge County, WI and collaborate effectively
Responsibilities
  • Works with product family team to identify potential productivity improvement opportunities in the areas of yield, direct labor utilization, and overhead cost reduction.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects from start to finish.
  • Establish and implement processes, tooling, equipment, and quality control methods using Lean Manufacturing principles.
  • Work with operators, supervisors, and management to write detailed operator Standardized Work instructions to ensure that productivity projects are sustained long term.
  • Assists in the Operator Training Process as it relates to Standardized Work.
  • Provide technical support for plant layout, purchase of equipment, upgrade of equipment, and feasibility studies.
  • Disposition of non-conforming product.
  • Conducts cost/benefit/risk analysis as required.
  • Coordinate the manufacturing launch of new/revised products including establishing goals, training team members and evaluating results.
  • Work with Customer Service and Production Planner to estimate costs and lead times to produce non-standard products.
