Bag Machine Assistant

Pro Ampac is seeking a Bag Machine Assistant to support our flexible packaging operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. In this role, you'll help set up, run, and shut down bag-making machines, load films and materials, and perform routine quality checks on bags for size, seals, and print. Working closely with operators and maintenance, you'll monitor equipment, report issues, and maintain a clean, safe work area following 5S and safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, operation, and shutdown of bag-making machines to meet production schedules
• Monitor equipment performance, identify basic issues, and escalate maintenance needs
• Inspect bags for quality, ensuring size, seal integrity, print, and packaging meet standards
• Load films and materials, stage supplies, and keep work area clean and organized
• Follow safety, housekeeping, and 5
• S standards in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Accurately record production data, downtime, and material usage in required systems
• Collaborate with machine operators, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve issues
• Support changeovers, adjustments, and trials for new packaging materials and products
• Adhere to Pro
• Ampac's policies on quality, sustainability, and continuous improvement
• Participate in training to develop technical skills and grow into higher-level roles
