Pro Ampac, a global leader in flexible packaging, is seeking Rewind Machine Assistants to support our manufacturing operations. In this role, you will help operate and monitor rewind machines that convert printed film and laminations into finished rolls for food, healthcare, consumer, and industrial customers. Responsibilities include assisting with machine setup and threading, loading and unloading rolls, inspecting product for defects, labeling and packaging finished goods, and performing basic adjustments to maintain quality and productivity.
You'll follow strict safety and quality standards, document production data, and work closely with operators, quality, and maintenance in a fast-paced, safety-focused environment with opportunities to grow your skills and career.
Responsibilities
- Operate and assist with rewind machines to convert and finish flexible packaging materials per specifications
- Set up machines, load rolls, thread film, and monitor running quality and registration
- Inspect finished rolls for defects, correct label information, and proper packaging
- Perform basic machine adjustments, changeovers, and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues
- Follow all safety procedures, lockout/tagout, and housekeeping standards in the production area
- Record production data, downtime, and material usage accurately in production logs
- Collaborate with press operators, quality, and maintenance to resolve issues and improve uptime
- Assist with material handling, staging, and removal of finished goods using carts or pallet jacks

- Comply with quality checks, GMPs, and customer specifications for food and healthcare packaging
