Rewind Operator

Pro Ampac is seeking Rewind Operators to support our flexible packaging production. In this role, you'll set up and operate rewind equipment to inspect, slit, and rewind printed films and laminations to exact specifications. You will monitor quality, check roll tension and alignment, make machine adjustments, and complete accurate production records. Operators follow all safety and 5S standards, perform basic equipment cleaning and maintenance, troubleshoot minor issues, and partner closely with press and finishing teams in a collaborative, safety-first environment focused on continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate rewind machines for films and laminations
• Inspect materials for print, registration, and defect quality
• Adjust tension, alignment, and speed to meet specifications
• Perform roll changes, splicing, and basic machine changeovers
• Complete production logs, labels, and quality documentation
• Follow all safety policies, including lockout/tagout and PPE use
• Maintain clean, organized work area following 5
• S principles
• Perform routine cleaning and minor maintenance on equipment
• Communicate issues and coordinate with press and finishing teams
• Support continuous improvement and productivity initiatives
