Essential Functions and Responsibilities:

• Serve as technical authority for measurement methods and GD&T interpretation.
• Approve measurement strategies, methods, and significant revisions.
• Provide advanced GD&T guidance and challenge unreasonable print callouts.
• Determine appropriate measurement equipment and long‑term measurement strategy.
• Lead collaboration with engineering on gage and fixture development.
• Interpret complex statistical studies and determine risk.
• Own metrology standards, training direction, and technical governance.
• Program and operate a variety of inspection equipment (CT scanner, vision systems, CMM).
• Reviews the output of completed programs, inspections and Gage R&R processes for accuracy and appropriateness prior to their submission to the PE Project Owner.
• Acts as the SME and liaison between metrologists and PE through the inspection method development lifecycle.
• Conducts mentoring and training for the metrology department to continuously improve abilities, consistency and confidence.
• Perform First Article inspections.
• Perform Gage R&R studies
• Monitor operations to ensure that they meet production standards.
• Recommend adjustments to the assembly or production process.
• May draft new procedures and revise existing ones to conform to what is being done by inspection personnel.
• May assist with the Engineering staff in validating or troubleshooting inspection and testing methods.
• Supports Isometric ISO
  13485 continuous improvement initiatives.

• Associate degree in related technical field with 7 years of experience or a minimum of 10 years related experience.
• Expert level understanding of blueprint reading and GD&T concepts.
