Quality Technician - 3Rd Shift

The purpose of the Quality Technician position is to ensure the production of high-quality finished products that meet company and customer specifications by controlling in-process parameters and performing quality checks on all finished products.

Essential Functions Ensure correct label is on the product

Ensure correct product is in the bagsUPC Verification Lot code verification

Review packaging for quality

Weight verifications

Clean equipment swabs

Perform allergen testing

Internal GMP inspections

Product return review

Assist with training new employees

Competencies

Must show good communication and organizational skills

Ability to be a team player and work with others as well as individually

Detail oriented

Positive attitude and work ethic with the ability to multi-task Understand standard and metric measurements

Must apply food safety and employee safety guidelines in all performance measures

Supervisory Responsibility There is no supervisory responsibility for this position.

Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to allergens, moving mechanical parts and vibration as well as equipment. The noise level in the work environment can be loud. The work environment is climate controlled.

Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger; handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Full time hour schedule is subject to change with or without notice. Mandatory or voluntary overtime may be required to meet business needs.

Travel There is no travel requirement for this position.

Education, Skills and Experience Must have a minimum of High School diploma or equivalent desired but not required

Previous experience in a manufacturing setting is ideal

Previous experience training new employees is helpful
