Where You Will WorkMed Surg 1 is a 16‑bed unit devoted to ensuring holistic, patient‑centered care for a wide range of medical conditions, with a strong focus on oncology. Care begins at diagnosis and continues through treatment, pre‑transplant preparation, illness support, chemotherapy, palliation, and hospice care at end of life.
Our team is committed to caring for the whole patient and family, providing education and support throughout every stage of the journey. Nurses on this unit receive specialized training to advance expertise in oncology nursing. If you’re passionate about comprehensive care and want to make a meaningful impact, Med Surg 1 offers a rewarding and supportive environment.
We’re Looking For- Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association
- Oncology Nursing Society (ONS) certification class offered after 12 months. (Required to complete)
As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing and coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.
Using evidence‑based practice, clinical decision making, compassion, and skilled communication while leading efforts to create the safest patient environment and the best patient experience across the continuum.
