DescriptionVernon Health in Viroqua, WI is looking for a Physician Assistant (PA) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join its collaborative Family Medicine team. This regular part-time position involves providing high-quality patient care to our dynamic rural communities while working a schedule consisting of 10-hour shifts in the clinics, rotating days based on needs primarily in our LaFarge Clinic.
This role is perfect for an experienced or recently graduated APP looking to make an immediate difference in a primary care setting while gaining competency through collaboration with our forward-thinking family practice physician team.
Key Responsibilities- Provide comprehensive primary care to patients across all age groups in collaboration with physicians and other healthcare providers.
- Perform assessments, physical exams, diagnostics, and treatment plans for a variety of acute and chronic conditions.
- Educate patients and their families about medical conditions, treatments, and preventive care, primarily in a modern and progressive clinic setting.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record system.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and quality of care.
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program.
- Current certification as a PA-C or NP and licensure to practice in Wisconsin (or ability to obtain).
- BLS and ACLS certifications required, PALS and ATLS certifications preferred.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with a commitment to patient-centered care.
