Position: Registered Nurse-(RN)- Cardiovascular ICU

Registered Nurse (RN) – Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU)

HSHS St. Vincent’s Hospital in Green Bay, WI is seeking a patient‑focused, mission‑driven Registered Nurse to serve on the Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU). The role involves caring for critical care and intermediate care patients undergoing cardiac surgeries and procedures, and managing a variety of cardiovascular medical diagnoses.

Position Details

    Cardiovascular Intensive Care Unit (CVICU)
  • Core Function:
    Nursing
  • Schedule:

    Full time, 36 hours per week; nights 7p.m.–7a.m.; every third weekend
  • Facility:
    St. Vincent’s Hospital, Green Bay, WI
  • Sign‑on bonus:
    Up to $20,000 for ICU or CVICU experience
Education & Licensure

Graduate from an accredited nursing program and be licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice. A Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing is preferred.

Experience & Certifications
  • Preferred:
    Critical Care Nursing experience
  • Required:

    Licensed RN in the state of practice; valid Wisconsin RN license (or multi‑state RN license under the Nurse Licensure Compact).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required based on patient population in the specialty area.
  • Preferred:
    Specialty certifications such as Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) and Certified Emergency Nurse (CEN).
Job Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the CVICU, including assessment, monitoring, medication administration, and coordinated interdisciplinary collaboration to support recovery following cardiac surgeries and procedures.
