LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse)

St. Mary's Medical Office Building, Green Bay, Wisconsin

The Licensed Practical Nurse is responsible for pre‑visit planning, standard rooming responsibilities, assisting with procedures, discharge instructions, and carrying out both administrative and clinical tasks as directed by a medical provider. This position is instrumental in helping the patient feel at ease while collaborating with the provider throughout the patient’s visit.

• Room patients and perform and document vital signs and patient backgrounds.
• Coordinate provider schedules and appointments, enter orders and prepare patient charts.
• Instruct patients and families within scope of licensure or certification.
• Assist medical providers with in‑office procedures and prepare and administer medications/immunizations.
• Maintain exam rooms and equipment to meet infection control standards.
• Ensure appropriate levels of medical supplies for each patient room.

• Current clinical experience as a licensed practical nurse.
• Knowledge of patient‑care principles, medical equipment, and instruments.
• Awareness of common safety hazards, precautions, and procedures to establish a safe work environment.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to foster patient relationships.
• Strong prioritization skills and the ability to meet changing demands.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and under stressful or emergency situations with high concentration and energy.
• Effective problem‑solving skills.
• Proficient in the use of EMR systems, computer, phone, and office equipment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

• Valid Practical Nursing license issued by the state of WI
• Required CPR/Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers certification (upon hire)

• Occasional sitting and bending (neck)
• Frequent standing, walking, driving, and bending
• Rarely climbing stairs or ladders. Occasional climbing.
