About the RoleNEWCC is seeking an experienced Pediatric Nurse Practitioner who is passionate about providing high-quality, compassionate care to children and families.
This position requires a provider with strong pediatric clinical experience who is comfortable practicing with a high degree of independence while collaborating with NEWCC's multidisciplinary healthcare team. The ideal candidate will bring sound clinical judgment, confidence in pediatric assessment and treatment, and the ability to recognize when consultation, referral, or a higher level of care is appropriate.

What You'll Do- Provide comprehensive pediatric primary and preventive care, including health histories, physical examinations, assessments, diagnoses, and treatment plans.
- Develop individualized plans of care that recognize the unique medical, social, cultural, and financial circumstances of our patients and families.
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic health conditions within the scope of pediatric advanced practice.
- Prescribe medications and treatments in accordance with Wisconsin law and professional practice standards.
- Order, review, and follow up on laboratory tests, imaging, and other diagnostic studies.
- Provide age-appropriate preventive care, health education, anticipatory guidance, and support to patients and caregivers.
- Coordinate referrals and connect patients and families with specialty care and community resources when additional services are needed.
- Perform procedures appropriate to the provider's training, experience, and scope of practice.
- Maintain timely, accurate, and complete documentation in the electronic health record.
- Collaborate with physicians and other members of the healthcare team to promote continuity and quality of care.
- Communicate compassionately and effectively with children, families, colleagues, community partners, students, and others involved in patient care.
- Provide culturally responsive care to patients and families from diverse backgrounds and life experiences.
- Participate in quality improvement, organizational initiatives, staff meetings, and community outreach activities.
- Maintain all required professional licenses, certifications, continuing education, and competencies.
- Provide care at other NEWCC locations or community-based settings as organizational and patient needs require.
Education & Licensure
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Current, unrestricted Wisconsin Registered Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse Prescriber licensure/credentialing as required for the position.
