Dermatology Licensed Practical Nurse

We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Dermatology Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our dermatology team. In this vital role, you will provide compassionate patient care, assist with dermatological procedures, and support the clinical operations of our dermatology practice. Your expertise will help ensure patients receive exceptional treatment in a welcoming environment. This position offers an exciting opportunity to apply your nursing skills in a specialized field focused on skin health, while working alongside experienced dermatologists and healthcare professionals.

Travel would be required on a weekly basis between our De Pere site, Appleton site, Sturgeon Bay site and Sister Bay site.

• Assist dermatologists during procedures such as , skin biopsies, and other medical dermatology interventions
• Administer injections, including lidocaine, prescribed biologics and other medications, following proper protocols and safety guidelines
• Manage patient documentation accurately within electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and confidentiality policies
• Educate patients on post-procedure care, and medication instructions to promote optimal outcomes
• Prepare and stock exam rooms and maintain equipment hygiene according to infection control standards
• Support triage activities by assessing patient concerns over the phone or in person
• Complete medication prior authorizations

• Valid state licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with current certification in good standing
• Proven experience working in medical offices or outpatient clinics, preferably with dermatology or cosmetic procedures
• Familiarity with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic or Athenahealth for accurate medical documentation
• Knowledge of medical terminology related to dermatology and skin conditions
• Strong understanding of HIPAA regulations and patient confidentiality practices
• Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare team members
