Job Opportunity – Emergency Department Registered Nurse – Wisconsin
Start Date: October 26, 2026
Location: Madison, Wisconsin
Compensation: Details provided to qualified applicants
Schedule: Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM. Includes weekend and holiday coverage. Patient ratio of 4:1.
Highlights- Level IV Trauma Center with Acute Stroke Ready designation and Pediatric Ready Emergency Department certification
- High-volume department serving approximately 45,000 patients annually with 140 daily census
- State-of-the-art facility with 40 exam rooms plus 19 vertical care spaces, with flex capacity for surge management
- Comprehensive interdisciplinary support including IV teams, respiratory services, pharmacy, and physical therapy
- Epic charting system required; 20 hours of orientation provided
- Travel assignment with floating required across the health system as needed
- Free onsite parking available
- Active Wisconsin RN license or Compact RN license
- Minimum two years of Emergency Department experience with adult and pediatric populations within the last three years
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Epic electronic medical record experience required
- Current BLS, PALS, ACLS (American Heart Association only), and TNCC certifications required
- Level II Trauma Center experience required;
Level I Trauma experience preferred - Must successfully pass telemetry competency exam prior to start date with strict passing criteria including 100% identification of lethal rhythms and 80% overall passing score
- Flu vaccination required (medical/religious exemptions only)
- Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility
