Job Summary

This position will be operating large tractor grass mowers along highways, medians and County roads, as well as completing various Highway Maintenance tasks. The schedule is Monday-Thursday 6am to 4pm and will be from approximately mid May until mid November.

Must be at least 18 years old with a valid Drivers License.

Minimum Qualifications Required

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or equivalent; or any combination of education, training, and experience that provides the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Licenses and Certifications
Valid Wisconsin Driver's License is required.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

• Ability to operator large tractor mowers.
• Ability to perform manual labor and physically demanding tasks as needed.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.
• Ability to follow both oral and written instructions with attention to detail.

Physical Demands

• Lifting and Carrying:
  Ability to lift objects weighing up to 75 pounds with frequent carrying of objects up to 40 pounds.
• Mobility:
  Prolonged standing, walking, limited sitting, and driving required.
• Manual Dexterity:
  Frequent use of hands and feet for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, pulling, and operating controls.
• Physical Activity:
  Bending, crouching, stooping, and walking over rough, uneven surfaces; occasional twisting, climbing, and reaching.
• Communication:
  Ability to communicate orally in a clear manner.
• Sensory Abilities:
  Ability to distinguish sounds at various frequencies and volumes and visually identify people or objects at different distances in varying light conditions.
• Environmental Tolerance:
  Tolerate exposure to cold, heat, noise, vibrations, and hazardous outdoor work conditions.
